How to choose a vial storage case that fits
Start with the vial in your hand. A volume such as 3mL, 5mL, or 10mL describes capacity; it does not give you the outside dimensions a case needs.
01. Measure the widest point
Use a caliper or millimeter ruler to measure the vial body and the widest part of its cap. Compare both measurements with the selected case configuration. Labels and protective sleeves can add width.
02. Measure total height
Measure from the base to the top of the existing cap. If you use an additional cover, measure with it fitted. The lid needs clearance; do not force a case closed over a vial.
03. Count your collection
Choose the number of slots you need and check whether every slot is the same size. A mixed collection may need a different configuration from a case made only for 3mL vials.
Everyday organization or travel?
Choose an everyday case for keeping your collection organized. For a case with an ice pack, check the compartment layout and follow the storage requirements supplied with the contents. A case alone does not establish or guarantee a storage temperature.
